Toyota FT-86 II Concept at Geneva Motor Show 2011

Toyota will release their newest sports car, Toyota FT-86 II Concept. Debut of the Toyota FT-86 II at the Geneva Motor Show 2011, which begins 1 March. Toyota FT-86 II builds on the original concept and will give a clear indication of the final design of the future of Toyota’s sports car.

History of Toyota’s sports car started more than 50 years ago and the concept will bring back the passion of the Toyota to drive sports car.

It’s no secret that Toyota is planning on building a sports coupe in conjunction with Subaru; in fact, the automaker has already given us a sneak peek of the car with the FT-86 concept. It seems, however, that the two-door is moving closer to production, as the company plans on showing the FT-86 II concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March.

FT-86 equipped with 2,000 cc engine, horizontally opposed, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated. The engine was using a 6-speed manual transmission. Toyota FT-86 has a length of 4160 mm, width 1760 mm, height 1260 mm and 2570 mm wheelbase.

Toyota finally unveil new sports car concept, Toyota FT-86 II. Toyota FT-86 II make its debut at Geneva Motor Show 2011, which began March 1, 2011, and according to the plan will enter the European market in 2012.

While everyone was expecting to see the production version of the Toyota FT-86 sports car, the company has decided to tease us with yet another concept version of the car.

Called the FT-86 II, the new concept made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show and, according to Toyota, it takes us a step closer to the final design of its next sports car.

Toyota FT-86 II has a length of 4235 mm, width 1795 mm, height 1270 mm and wheelbase 2570 mm. Equipped with Boxer engine and six-speed manual transmission.

This car has a shorter rear, similar to the GT 2000 classic, and a low front end that looks like the evolution of the FT-HS concept that shown at the NAIAS 2010. By having a longer hood, reminiscent of Toyota Supra Mark III.

Toyota Prius with Audible Systems

Third-generation of Toyota Prius will be equipped with audible systems that can be heard pedestrian or blind people. This feature will be applied considering the Prius runs silently when the electric mode work.

Audible system will only work when the car is running under 25 km / hr. The sound that generated is guaranteed not to interfere with pedestrian or the blind people, but enough to make them wary. 2012 Toyota Prius V Available in Japan

The 2012 Toyota Prius V is now on sale in Japan. The Prius V, which is the second model in Toyota’s growing Prius range, is offered in two seat forms – seven- and five-seat and with a more advanced lithium-ion battery pack.

The Prius V now becomes more spacious that it offers over 50 percent more cargo space than the current Prius. The greater height and length are meant to give more head- and leg-space to the occupants. Yet, it displays compact exterior design. The new Prius is sleek, round and thick, with an extended roof line to maintain a symbolic triangle silhouette Prius. It has trapezoid-shaped front section that features a sharp-edged light, wind aero-slip angle to improve aerodynamics and enlarged under the grill. These all, which are borrowed from the current Prius, make a unique design for the later Prius. Moreover, it has impressive rear styling with a specially designed roof spoiler and the rear lamps that are combined in subtle and complex way on the backdoor. Continue reading »
