New Mazda RX-9 Sports Coupe

According to rumors of a new Mazda RX-9 sports coupe, Mazda is still considering the engine for the upcoming Mazda RX-9. Mazda is thinking from Mazda’s delayed 16X rotary engine to a hydrogen-powered drivetrain. In the US spreads reports this week claiming that this carmaker from Japan is looking to Toyota’s hybrid technology. Mazda seems to plan to borrow the Toyota’s technology in order to produce a powerful, low-emission flagship for its sports range.

The rumors are most likely to be true that, according to AOL’s MotorTrend, one insider at Mazda has confirmed that Mazda is planning to do so. It is also confirmed that the project of Mazda RX-9 has eliminated the possibility of using Mazda’s famed rotary engine technology and the team is considering using Toyota’s hybrid technology – that the power-boosting and range-extending addition will done by the electric motor.
