The iconic 250 series Ferrari 1960 Era Continue to Break Records at Auction

Although the iconic 250 series Ferrari 1960-era – like the GTO and Testa Rossa Spyder California – continue to break records at auction, the models that followed are advancing rapidly, as they coveted in their wonderful years with the effective approach to buy today. As with any great collector cars, the most perfect and rare in the sample, the more they will look at an auction.

Case in point, three classic Ferrari at around the 40-year-old mark each sold for seven figures last week in the case of RM Auctions Amelia Island in Florida. For example, a Daytona Spyder rarely owned by Edsel Ford II, brought $ 1,017,500 – safely within the estimate range, $ 1-1.25 million. Another, an alloy-bodied 275 GTB / 4 in copper impressive, which was bought new by Luigi Chinetti and displayed at the 1967 New York Auto Show, sold for $ 1,265,000 – a little below their estimate. He was defeated, however, by a meticulously restored, winning bidder 275 that far exceed its estimate with a bid of $ 1,650,000 winner.
