The Volt’s range is about 350 miles – 25 to 50 on electricity alone and 310 additional miles with the 1.4-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine supplying power to the battery. The lithium-ion battery is completely rechargeable by either a 120-volt or 240-volt outlet within 6-7 and 2-3 hours, respectively.
